Meeting with Andy Blakney from Seattle Blacksmithing & Welding to figure out fixtures for my Neon chandeliers. So fun to see what he will make to hang the glass and still allow for some wacking (accidentally knocking into the chandelier).
Lately customers want to be able to wack their chandeliers. Which because of gravity and balance-they can be wacked, a bit. My daughters friend wacked my chandelier over my dining from table. She was singing and threw back her hands and gave the chandelier a good wack-it just bounced a bit and kept on glowing. Then I wacked the same chandelier using my yardstick to close the curtains. Still just a jiggle and no breakage. Here Andy is not wacking the chandelier, he is being very gentle of the neon glass tubes. Will have to wait to see what he comes up with…

I love your “stuff”! Thanks for inviting me to sit with you at the art thing. It was great!
